The IBAA believes in giving back to the community and supporting the next generation of aviation professionals. We support two scholarship programs that increase opportunities for promising young scholars in aviation.

ACE Academy: Aviation Career Education

Beginning in 2005, the IBAA has sponsored several students each year at the three-day ACE Academy, which gives interested high school students exposure to multiple aviation career options. The ACE Academy is run by Idaho State Division of Aeronautics, and includes a flight experience with an opportunity for each student to briefly control the aircraft.

Edward W.Stimpson Aviation Excellence Award

Starting in 2013, we are sponsoring this partial-tuition scholarship to graduating high school students who have been accepted to an accredited aviation college or university. Along with grade requirements, applicants competing for this prestigious award must submit a 750-word essay explaining why aviation is important to them.
